My reSET Review - New In Zurich

My Impressions of the reSET Program

You may already have heard of the Eat by Alex nutrition courses in Zurich and one of their offerings is the reSET program. After doing personal training sessions with Jenny Winklhofer from My Body Training, Jenny suggested I try out the Eat by Alex fasting-mimicking program for five days.  Jenny has been working closely with Eat by Alex and together their clients have achieved great results.

Having tested the 5 day reSET Program by Eat by Alex, I can highly recommend it. 5 days was a do-able amount of time in which I felt a real difference afterwards and I also felt much better both physically and mentally. I even lost nearly 2 Kg in weight! I can imagine that 5 days is quite a lot for many people to incorporate into their lifestyle so the fact that the program can be tailored to 3 days or whatever your schedule allows, is a real plus.

For me the strict schedule was very helpful and enabled me to keep to the program without deviating. In order to do so I rearranged my diary to avoid all restaurant outings and made sure to prioritize my sleep which I also think helped a lot. I also enjoyed eating different foods and everything was so clearly laid out in the instructions, you couldn’t possibly go wrong.

A few tips I found helped were: 

  1. Gradually giving up coffee and caffeine in the days before the program began was really deifitely helpful.
  2. The snack in the afternoon was always delicious – but because it was quite small I always sliced the brownie (or whatever the snack was) into small pieces and that seemed to make them last longer.
  3. I really got into drinking herbal teas and I think this also helped a lot.
  4. The exercises by Jenny ( see below) were really helpful – but I found it useful to split them into two and do them in two sections rather than all at once.

Overall, I really enjoyed the program and I would definitely try it again.
