Shipping Policy

Applies to: orders placed on www.eatbyalex.com and delivered within Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
1. Delivery Area
We deliver Swiss-wide, including Liechtenstein.
Eat by Alex reserves the right to refuse an order if:

the delivery address lies outside the valid delivery area,
-
previous deliveries could not be completed, or
-
the customer has outstanding payments or is not creditworthy.
2. Delivery Provider
All parcels are shipped with Swiss Post PostPac Priority.
Eat by Alex may, in exceptional cases, work with an equivalent courier service offering the same or better delivery standard.
3. Dispatch Location
Orders are prepared and dispatched from our logistics partner:
Stiftung Ancora Meilestei, 8620 Wetzikon (ZH).
4. Processing Times & Cut-off
Orders received before 14:00 (CET) on a business day are handed over to Swiss Post the same day.
Orders placed after 14:00 or on weekends/public holidays are shipped the next business day.
You will receive a tracking link once your parcel leaves our facility.
5. Delivery Times
Swiss Post PostPac Priority generally delivers within 1–2 business days.
These are indicative transit times and may vary during peak periods, weather disruptions, or strikes.
Once a parcel has been handed over to Swiss Post, the transport risk and responsibility pass to the carrier. Eat by Alex cannot be held liable for delays, loss, or theft occurring after dispatch.
6. Shipping Fees

Free shipping for orders from CHF 99 and above
All prices are displayed in CHF and include VAT in accordance with the Swiss Price Indication Ordinance (OIP).
7. Signature Requirement for orders above CHF 800
To ensure secure delivery and prevent theft:
Orders above CHF 800 are shipped with "Signature Required" (Einschreiben / Signature).
This means the parcel will only be handed over once the recipient (or an authorised person) signs for it.
8. Address Accuracy & Undeliverable Parcels
Please ensure your address is complete and correct.
If a parcel cannot be delivered (e.g., wrong address, not collected, access issue) and is returned to us, we will contact you to arrange reshipment.
A CHF 15.00 reship fee applies to cover additional postage and handling.
9. Returns and Exchanges
For hygienic and safety reasons, we do not accept returns or exchanges once an order has been shipped.
All sales are final except in cases of proven product defect or incorrect delivery (see § 10).
10. Customer Responsibility after Delivery
Once Swiss Post marks your parcel as delivered, it is deemed received.
Please retrieve and store the products as instructed in the product guide (cool and dry environment).
Eat by Alex declines any liability for products damaged, stolen, or spoiled after successful delivery.
11. Missing or Faulty Items
Check your delivery immediately upon receipt.
Report any missing or faulty items by email to hello@eatbyalex.com within one business day of delivery, including photos and your order number.
Reports received later may not qualify for replacement or credit.
12. Force Majeure & Carrier Delays
Eat by Alex is not liable for delays or non-delivery caused by events beyond its control (e.g., weather, carrier network failures, strikes, force majeure).
We will keep you informed and coordinate with the carrier where possible.

Legal Note
This policy complies with Swiss consumer-protection law (UWG, OIP, OR Art. 184 et seq.) and clarifies the contractual risk transfer upon dispatch in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligations (OR Art. 185 para. 2).
No statutory right of withdrawal applies to food items under Swiss law.
