Before you ask!



DO YOU HAVE A REFERRAL PROGRAM?

Yes, The referral program can be used on your first weekly meal plan order on booking.eatbyalex.com. Enter the referral email address in the last step before finalising your booking. The referral program doesn’t work on our online shop or for the Discovery Pack.

Once you have entered your referral email address, a 10% discount will be applied to your order. Your referral friend will also receive a 10% voucher code per email once you have completed your order.


DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM ORDER?

Yes, we have a minimum package order of CHF 45 per day. Our goal is to make sure you gain a sufficient amount of nutrients, minerals & vitamins. For that reason we require a minimum package.

For a complete clean eating experience, we recommend you to order at least:
– breakfast
– vitamin shot
– lunch
– treat
– dinner

To reach our minimum order value, your meal plan should contain at least two of the main meals breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can customise your perfect meal plan directly online.


DO YOU USE ENOUGH PROTEIN?

Yes, our program is designed to give you all of the bioavailable, easy-to-digest plant-based protein you need to build lean muscle, trigger metabolic functions in your body and keep your energy soaring. Some of our favourite plant-based protein sources are flaxseeds, chia & hemp seeds, nuts, chickpeas, lentils & beans, tofu & tempeh.


Our clean eating concept is inspired by the latest research for longevity from Professors like Valter Longo & David Sinclair. Our philosophy follows an approach of roughly 0.7 gram of plant protein per kilo of body weight. If your goal is to build muscle mass and require more proteins, we are happy to support you with ideas and suggestions to complement our meal plans.


WHAT IS YOUR CALORIE & MACRONUTRIENT APPROACH?

Calories are a measure of energy but each calorie is very different depending on the type of food you eat. Calories from carbs can’t be compared to those from fats or proteins because they are differently processed and absorbed by your body.

So rather than counting calories, we want to help you eat the right amount of nutrient-rich food using a balanced macronutrient approach. Every meal that we prepare for you is using seasonal ingredients that vary from week to week.


CAN I ANNOUNCE MY DISLIKES?

Yes, At EatbyAlex you don’t choose your meals but instead you allow Alex and her team of chefs to create the most balanced and diverse menu for you. We only use organic produce which are seasonal and local whenever possible. We constantly have to make choices but not with us because we create the menu that will be the most nourishing for you. To make sure you love your menu, you can choose up to two dislikes when you book with us.


HOW DO YOU DEAL WITH ALLERGIES?

Yes, all our meals are vegan, gluten-free, refined sugar-free and 100% natural. We use organic nuts and coconut so if you are allergic to nuts, we currently cannot cater for your allergy. Though, we can accommodate certain allergies. To announce and confirm your allergies, please get in touch with us per email or per WhatsApp prior to ordering.

Additionally, we offer the option to choose up to dislikes when ordering.


CAN I FIRST TRY YOUR MEALS?

Absolutely! We encourage you to first try our Discovery Pack before signing up for longer. The special package includes all our available meals and will allow you to decide for yourself what are the meals you want us to cook for you. It only costs CHF 65 instead of CHF 95. The delivery in Zurich City is free.

ARE YOUR MEALS FULLY COOKED?

Yes, all our meals are fully cooked and ready-to-eat. You can reheat them in a microwave or in a pan in less than 5 minutes.

Morning
The breakfast bowls can easily be reheating by transfer to a pan and cooking for 5 minutes on medium heat.


Daytime
We recommend to consume the lunches at room temperature. You can take it out of the fridge 30 to 60 minutes before eating it. The lunches can also be served warm but we recommend to remove the leafy greens first prior to reheating. You can serve the warm meal with the lettuce on the side and add the dressing at the end.


Evening
For most dinners, we recommend reheating them in pan on medium heat. Transfer first to a pan, then add a little bit of water and cook for 5 minutes.


IS IT A DIET?

No, our meal plans have not been designed to be a diet. Instead, all our meals are highly nutritious to keep you satiated and energised for the day. We only use clean ingredients. That means no refined sugars, nor processed foods. Everything we cook is 100% natural and therefore without preservatives.

Our meals are plant-based, so without meat and dairy products. If you are used to consume sugar, dairy and meat, you might experience weight loss. Your body will initially for the first few days crave sugar but eventually you will feel stronger and leaner.

CAN I CHOOSE MY MENU?

We offer a set menu of healthy meals that rotates every 4 weeks. We also adjust the menus with seasons and availability from our farmers. You can view the MENU for the two next weeks here. We strongly believe in using local, seasonal and fresh produce. All our meals are plant-based, 100% natural and whole food. We don’t use refined sugar nor processed food. We even make our own plant-based milks by blending nuts with Züri water!


HOW DO I ORDER FOR MORE THAN ONE PERSON?

You can easily order your healthy and plant-based meals for your friends, colleagues or family. You will be able to add one or more people to your order once you have customised your package. Start by selecting your meals and dates on the BOOKING PAGE. Next, enter your delivery details and then you will be able to add one or more people to your order.  Each additional person can have a different meal selection but the dates and delivery address must be the same as the original booking.


WHAT IS THE SERVING SIZE OF EATBYALEX MEALS?

The serving size of our nourishing meals is made for one person. Each type of meal is designed to have roughly the same macronutrients values.


WHERE DO YOU DELIVER?

Our dream is to be able to deliver all over Switzerland but in the meantime here are the places where you already can get a daily delivery from us. If your postcodes isn’t yet available but not too far from one of our existing delivery location, please send us an email and we will do our best to accommodate your request. A-LIFE is available in the whole of Switzerland already.


CAN YOU DELIVER TO MY OFFICE?

Yes, we can deliver to your office or to your home address. You can only enter one address when you book online but we can easily deliver to different addresses if you let us know in advance.


HOW DO I PAUSE OR CANCEL MY SUBSCRIPTION?

You can pause or cancel your subscription at any times with two Zurich Business Days notice. We need these two days to avoid any waste. We are more than happy to send your package to a friend or a colleague if you need to cancel very short notice.


WHEN CAN I START?

You can start your program as soon as next week. Though, we suggest to book your weekly package by latest the Friday before your scheduled start. It is sometimes possible to book as late as Sunday but we cannot guarantee availability. In special cases, we can organise an earlier start if you send your request to us PER EMAIL.

Your weekly packages can be 3-, 4- and 5-days any days from Monday to Friday.


WHAT IF I’M NOT HOME DURING DELIVERY?

If you are not home during deliver, our delivery partners will leave your bag in your mailbox or wherever possible. Please make sure to empty your mailbox to leave enough space for your bag. You can leave your delivery instructions when your book your meal package online.

Please note that while our partners will do their best to follow your delivery instructions. Though, we cannot guarantee that they will be accommodated and we are not liable for any lost, stolen or damaged deliveries that result from these requests. It is your responsibility to be home during the delivery window.


HOW OFTEN DO YOU DELIVER?

We deliver fresh everyday. Our weekly meal programs take place from Monday to Friday with a fresh delivery every day. The deliveries with all your meals for the day will take place the evening before except on Sunday evening when deliveries take place on Monday early morning. For classic delivery times, our couriers will only ring you door bell after 7am to not wake you up. Please make sure to check you mailbox.

Like a private chef would do, we want to offer you the most nourishing meals possible and therefore cook and deliver fresh every day. We have a zero waste kitchen and only buy what is needed to cook your meals. Please make sure to order your program a few days in advance!
