Michèle Fabian, a health and wellbeing coach did our reNEW Intermittent Fasting Program program in March. She is busy and has an unpredictable schedule, and therefore was interested to try our program as a way to refresh her healthy habits each week.
Here's how it went!
I have tried the Eat by Alex reNEW Intermittent Fasting diet plan and here are my thoughts about it.
Personally, I don't want to spend hours and hours preparing stuff, and so really having everything ready to go is a big plus for me, and it felt really refreshing for my gut as well. I felt a little lighter the day after, and for me it was just a perfect little break in the week that fits smoothly into my day to day. It's definitely something that I will continue to use once in a while.
First of all, from the beginning I have been a huge fan of Eat by Alex and the products they do. There goes so much innovation into it, but also research and so much love.
In the past I have done the reSET program about 10 times, so I was very curious to try the reNEW program. I had wanted to do a full fasting or fasting-mimicking week in a long time but to be honest it doesn't really fit into my schedule right now.
I have a lot of projects going on where I need my full focus. I'm also traveling a lot so I was like - I'd love to do a full week of reSET but I never really found space for it. And here reNEW came in handy because I still wanted to do something for my body - kind of a little reset, refresh, and I thought reNEW offers exactly that, so let's give it a try!
I did it a couple of times on a Friday. Friday was a really good choice for me because it's not my most high intensity business day, so I can really live with not being at my best energy because that's definitely what you have when you reduce your calories.
Personally, I always feel very tired at the end of a fasting day and at the same time it gave me this opportunity to kind of have a healthy start, a healthy shift into the weekend, which felt very good.
I know for a lot of people also doing reNEW on a Monday is a good option to kind of set the tone for a healthy start into the week. For me, that doesn't work well because on a Monday I really want to be all in and have all my energy for the start of my business week.
I honestly loved these few days when I started reNEW on a Friday, because I started my day as usual with yoga and breath work. I did it a bit more gentle on the day and the delicious meals definitely kept me full for the day, so I didn't feel super hungry.
It was good, it was enough and in the evenings I felt really tired to be honest, so I wouldn't have been able to go out, which I usually don't do on a Friday, but instead I had a really good night's sleep.
I slept like a baby and felt really refreshed on Saturday morning. What I love is that it feels so effortless because you get everything delivered, you don't really have to think about it which comes in handy.
Now that reBUILD is there, I am definitely curious to try this out because as a health and wellbeing coach, I'm always on the lookout to find ways to nourish myself better, especially things that really fit into a busy day.
I can't wait to try this out as well!
