How? The soups in reSET are delivered frozen to maintain maximum freshness. Upon delivery, keep your soups frozen until consuming, by keeping them in your freezer. When you're ready to start - thaw the soups for the upcoming reSET day in your fridge overnight.
reSET is a 5-day program inspired by the fasting-mimicking diet created by Dr. Valter Longo. He has dedicated years of research to achieving longevity, slow aging, reducing disease and weight management through plant-based and whole food nutrition. You can read more about it in his book “The Longevity Diet” which we highly recommend. Eat by Alex created this program using the concept of fasting-mimicking which puts your body into a fasting mode while still providing the right nutrients and supplements to your body. The restricted calorie diet makes your body think you are fasting and therefore reset and cleanse. The package includes all your meals as well as supplements for 5 days.
In reSET, we follow the fasting-mimicking diet approach by Dr. Valter Longo. reSET has the following macronutrient breakdown:
Fats: 50-55% of daily calories
- The primary source of fats is healthy fats, mainly monounsaturated fats (from olive oil, nuts, and seeds) and polyunsaturated fats
- Saturated fats, found in foods like dairy, are not found in reSET.
- Trans fats and highly processed oils are not found in reSET.
Carbohydrates: 35-40% of daily calories
- Carbohydrates come from whole grains (like whole wheat, farro, quinoa, and brown rice), fruits, vegetables, and legumes.
- Processed and refined carbs (e.g., white bread, pasta, sugary foods) are not found in reSET.
Proteins: 10-15% of daily calories
- Protein sources include legumes, nuts, seeds
If you are:

- underweight (BMI less than 18.5)

Many people experience few, if any, symptoms during the reSET program. However, some symptoms are indicative of toxins leaving your body. In fact, the more toxins there are to be eliminated, the more symptoms you can experience. These feelings typically pass within the first 3 days.
You may feel weak, flu like symptoms, nausea, dry mouth, constipation or diarrhea, bloating and/or gas, feeling cold, feeling hungry, and irritability. Headaches, ranging from mild to strong migraines, are also very common during the first 2 to 3 days especially when you eliminate caffeinated drinks and refined sugars. Headaches can be relieved by drinking additional water or one black coffee.
Clinical studies have identified potential risks and discomfort associated with low calorie and low protein diets such as reSET, including anxiety, depression, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, headache, hunger, irritability, muscle aches, nausea or spinal pain. You may also feel kidney and liver pain as your body works very hard to detoxify.
The hungry feeling comes from the hunger hormone called Ghrelin which spikes around mealtimes. The reSET program will help you stabilise Ghrelin, and we recommend you leave at least 12 hours between your last meal and the next day’s first meal.
reSET and prolon are both 5-day fasting-mimicking programs based on the research of Dr. Valter Longo. In reSET, you will enjoy fresh and fully cooked soups. In Prolon, the soups are provided as powders. reSET also contains additional supplements, teas, mindfulness, and workouts to support your fasting journey.

Building a healthy gut is a long process. This 5-day gut reset program will start you on your journey, and we encourage to repeat the program 1-2x monthly to support digestive health.
We use more than 150 ingredients including all nuts & seeds, dried spices, fresh herbs, pulses & legumes, freeze-dried berries & dried fruits, whole grains and whole grain pasta. We only use unrefined sweeteners like maple syrup, coconut sugar, dates and apple syrup.

Your delivery will consist of 10 frozen meals (5 lunches & 5 dinners) and the remaining meals, snacks, and add-ons at room temperature. Store your frozen meals in the freezer. The program is designed to be consumed within a 5-day period to reBUILD your gut health. For maximum convenience your meals are delivered frozen so you may enjoy the meals at your own schedule, if preferred.
